**NEW** 2025 AAU RULING REGARDING DOUBLE CONTACT on SECOND BALL
In accordance with the spirit of the rules and to encourage longer rallies and spectacular actions, AAU Volleyball will adopt the current (2024) NCAA rule regarding multiple contacts on a team’s second hit. This ruling is approved by NFHS and USAV as the rule for the 2026 season. This rule will go into effect for immediate use at the 2025 AAU National Volleyball Championships.
On the second team hit, the ball may contact various parts of the body consecutively, provided that the contacts occur during one action and the ball is next touched by a teammate. If the ball completely crosses the net or is first touched by the opponent after multiple contacts on the second team hit, a double hit fault will be called.
