OMNE VOLLEYBALL REFEREE N(ews)E(ducation)T(raining)work
OMNE Volleyball Referee N(ews)E(ducation)T(raining)work was started informally in the late 1980's as a training tool for all levels of volleyball referees, most importantly high school level. As I progressed in my referee career, I encountered other referees that were interested in learning more about their profession. We would meet occasionally to discuss situations and rule interpretations.
I moved to another state for a 5 year period. At that location and during this time, I realized there was a great need and want for this type of training in many parts of the country. I continued to do these informal clinics in that area.
Upon returning to the Omaha area, I again took up this training idea. With the help of Fono Fisaga, I created a formal organization. I also use other various experienced referees to help with training and education sessions.
